Tuesday Tales - Pleasure

“Today is your day.” Billy turned the radio on in the car and rested his hand on her lap.

“Are you going to tell me where you are taking me?”

“No way. It is going to be a total surprise.”

“Just like the Halloween party.”

He changed lanes and got onto the West Shore Expressway. “Ha. Even better.”

“I don’t know if I like your surprises.”

“Have I let you down yet?”

Alexandra thought for a moment and smiled. Since Billy came into her life, her once dull life had turned into an adventure. When he said they were going out for a day of fun, he meant it.

The Halloween party had been an awesome experience. Through the years, she had disliked Halloween more and more. It had gotten to the point that she didn’t even open her door, instead she left the candy outside in a dish for the kids to take. Now she let him talk her into another escapade. She hated to admit it, but she looked forward to these journeys. They always brought her closer to Billy by the end of the day.

“Come to think about it, no.” Alexandra rested her hand over his leaning on the console between them. “Honestly, I looked forward to this for the past three days.”

“You are going to love today. Going out doesn’t always mean dinner and dancing. This is going to be a very special day for my special girl.”

Hmm, special girl? The thought of that made her smile. She never knew what to expect from Billy. He was like no man that she had ever dated, not that she had a lot of dates in her life.

“I can’t wait to see what you have planned for the day.”

“You’ll find out within the next few minutes.”

“I love when you are secretive.”

“And I know how that drives you crazy. That’s why I always plan these surprise outings.”

Billy took the Page Avenue exit and looped around the circle and pulled into a strip mall parking lot. Where could he be possibly taking her? There was a diner, bar, automotive parts store, and a dry cleaner. She didn’t see anything that would be appropriate for their date.

Her car door opened and Billy extended his hand out to her. When Billy dressed in jeans and button down shirt, Alexandra loved that look. In her heart, she felt like a kid. Guess it doesn’t matter how young or old you are, for love is love. Did I just say love?

“Where are you taking me?” Swinging her free arms around the parking lot, “I don’t see anything here, especially since it’s too early for dinner.”

“Trust me, this is going to be an awesome experience. Now let me lead the way. Just promise me you’ll have an open eye.”

“I will.”

“You see, I didn’t want to ruin the surprise, so I parked a parking lot over.”

“No, you didn’t?”

“Yes I did.”

Alexandra stopped walking and turned to face him. “You are always full of surprises Billy. That’s what makes you stand out from the rest.”

“Thank you.” He leaned into her, planting a quick kiss on her parted lips. “Now let’s go shopping.”

They walked into the next parking lot. Alexandra let him lead the way until they stopped in front of Linda Lingerie Boutique. Her mouth dropped open. He brought her to a lingerie store. Now this was something totally different. Did he have an underlining message behind this because she had yet to give him all of herself? Or was this just an innocent gesture of love and friendship? This was something that she’d have to think about.

Billy pushed the door opened and walked in behind her.

“Hey Billy.” The woman sitting behind the counter walked right over to Billy and hugged him. “It’s so good to see you.” She turned to Alexandra. “Hi. I’m Linda.”

“I’m Alexandra.”

“It’s my pleasure to meet you. I am so happy that Billy brought you in to see me. We go way back.” Linda adjusted her short skirt and pushed her light brown hair behind her eyes. “I went to school with Billy’s sister. We see each other all the time. Now this hot number,” she squeezed Billy’s biceps, “has always been all work and no play. So it’s great to see him standing here in front of me with such a lovely woman.”

“Thank you,” Alexandra said. “I’m just somewhat surprised to be standing in the middle of a lingerie shop.”

“There is something here for every one. “What’s your pleasure?”

“Excuse me,” Alexandra blushed.

“Are you into fantasy? If so I have a nice his and her dress up.”

Alexandra’s mouth dropped. Did Billy think she was into this kind of play?

“Or do you prefer submission and…”

“No.” Turning to Billy she said, “This is not me at all.”

“Linda, why don’t you show Alexandra those sensual pieces in the back.”

“I don’t know Billy,” Alexandra shrugged her shoulders.

“Baby, I didn’t bring you here because I’m looking for kinky sex. I brought you here to meet Linda. And buying a few satin nightgowns would be a bonus.”

Alexandra puckered her lips, a nervous habit of hers when she doesn’t know what to say. “So I see. You brought me under false pretenses. Sounds familiar,” she joked.

“Yeah I know. So what do you think?”

Walking over to the rack of men’s satin boxers, she took a pair off the rack and held it up. “Linda, if you could find me the woman’s version of this, I think you’ll have a sale.”

“Let me bring you back into my pleasure room.” Looking over her shoulder to Billy, Linda said, “I suggest that you get yourself a cup of coffee because this lady is going to be a while when she sees my huge selection.”

Tuesday Tales

Trick or Treat

The moment Alexandra pushed the door opened the sound of classic rock and roll blared out. Before she could join the party, a woman in a gothic vampire costume stopped her in the doorway with blood red lipstick on her plump lips.

“If you want to enter,” she shook a glass dish in front of her, “you have to leave your car keys in here.”

“You’re kidding?”

“Nope. I will not be responsible for drunk driving. If you can find your keys when you are ready to leave, then they are yours. If not, you can camp out upstairs in one of the bedrooms. Understood?”

“Yes.” Alexandra dropped her key in the dish and walked into the living room. The party was in full swing. She’d bet that many of the attendees would be spending the night.

She scanned the room, hoping to find Billy. When he had told her that it was costume only, she had laughed. And when he told her that he would meet her there and their own game would be to find one another without saying a word, she accepted the challenge. But now standing here, in a room full of people dressed in costumes, which represented the chessboard, she had her work cut out for her.

What the hell was going on? The woman at the door wasn’t a queen, pawn or even a knight. Looking around the room, she quickly figured it out. The waiters, waitresses and bartenders were dressed as vampires. Now she got it. The men were dressed in black costumes, while the women in ivory. At least it made the hunt for Billy a little bit easier.

The music was so loud that it would be impossible to even find him by the sound of his voice. She’d have to search hard amongst all the dressed up characters to find Billy.

It would be easy for Billy to find her, but that wasn’t the game. He wanted her to find him, making the stakes even higher. He had the upper hand in this game. He could watch each move she made, dressed as a queen on a chessboard. The more she thought about it, the more vulnerable she began to feel. She’d have to be careful on who she approached because if she kissed the wrong man, it might just be the wrong move.

Scanning the room, it seemed there were at least fifteen men to choose from. She would have to play the game carefully and not make a sudden move without truly thinking it through.

The bartender approached her a silver tray with champagne on it. He leaned it towards her, she smiled and took a glass off the tray nodding her head and mouthing thank you.
Alexandra looked around the room, zeroing in on all the men. She closely examined the pawns, kings, knights and bishops and quickly determined that none of them were Billy.

Making her way back to the hallway, she bumped back into the woman in the Gothic vampire costume.

“You’re leaving already? I’ll have to give you a Breathalyzer test before letting you pick you keys out of the bowl.”

“I’m not leaving. I’m just stepping outside for some air.”

Pushing the wooden door open, Katherine walked out to the circular driveway and scanned the cars for Billy’s jeep around the circle. After coming up empty she walked around the side of the house and spotted Billy’s jeep sitting under the tree in the corner.

“He’s here,” she whispered. “Now to find him in the maze of chessboard pieces.”

Alexandra walked back into the house and vampire girl stood there laughing.

“By the look on your face, I guess you figured out the game.”

“What game? And why are you not dressed like a chess piece?”

“Sorry.” Extending her hand, “I’m Melissa, this is my house. I do this every year. It’s a blast.”

“I’m Alexandra, and do what?”

“Have a theme Halloween party. It is so much fun watching to see if the women can find their spouses or boyfriends in the crowd.”

“Are you kidding me?”

“I kid you not. Last year the men had to find us and they did a horrible job. I’m sure the women are going to win it again this year.”

“I hope so because I am having a hard time finding Billy.”

“Aw, so you’re the woman who stole Billy’s heart.”

“That’s if I can find him.”

“Believe me you will. Since you’re a newbie in this game, finding Billy will show true love.”

True Love. That feeling didn’t even cross my mind. “I hope you’re right.”

“Good luck.”

“Thanks.”

Melissa moved to the side letting Alexandra walked back through the French doors into the party. Time to get down to business and find her man. All the men wore masks only exposing their eyes, nose and mouths. This made it almost totally impossible, but Alexandra would weed through the chess pieces and find her king.

After carefully checking out every man in the room, she came to the conclusion that he wasn’t here, leaving her in an uncomfortable position. Maybe she should give one last look before she headed out. There was no sense in hanging around for nothing. As she walked back to the door, something told her to stay and take another look around the room.

And then their eyes met. She hadn’t seen it earlier, when she first arrived. Billy was the second person to greet her. Slowly walking to the bar, she reached her hand out. Her knight wasn’t dressed as a king, instead, he wore a vampire costume.. Billy extended his arms and she fell into them.

“I knew you would find me.” Billy kissed her then took her into his arms.

“I can’t believe this is a Halloween game. I almost left.”

“But you didn’t and you found me. So what do you say we get out of here and go back to my place for a nightcap?”

“I say it sounds like a wonderful idea.”

Tuesday Tales

The fire Alexandra felt from Billy’s lips drove her insane. Could she be living a dream that she was about to wake up from? She took a quick peak at Billy whose eyes remained closed. Oh yes this wasn’t a dream. This was the real deal, and she planned on seeing how far it would take her.

Billy had been everything she’d been looking for. He was gorgeous and still tanned thanks to the Indian summer they were experiencing. What she needed to know was if they shared the same interests? This was something that meant more to her than mind blowing sex. She knew that once the newness of the relationship was over than there better be something that they can share.

Their kiss blew her mind. They shared a special connection. He dropped his hands to her waist and kissed the top of her head.

“Wow!”

“That’s all you can say?” Billy asked pushing her hair behind her ears.

“Yeah. I am totally at a loss for words.”

“See what you’ve been missing all these years?”

“Yeah. You would have saved me from my seven month marriage.”

“Sorry,” he laughed.

“I should have stayed with you that New Year’s Eve all those years ago, then I would have saved myself a lot of money.”

“Why do you say that?”

“Because the loser I married was the man that I couldn’t keep my eyes off of that night.”

“Sorry but back then I wasn’t persistent. I was just a skinny runt with no self-confidence.”

“And I was a young girl who wanted the most popular boy. I chased him for three years, won his heart, married him four years later only to find out that he was an egotistical asshole. And might I add the biggest player around.”

“That sucks.”

“Yeah it did. But what I realized after we were married was that we had absolutely nothing in common. I love sports, he hated sports.”

“I love sports, especially baseball.”

“Me too.” Alexandra smiled. “I love music and he only liked jazz.”

“I hate jazz and love classic rock and roll.” He took her hand and they sat on the couch. “I like going out to dinner once a week to show you off and love even more just lounging around watching TV and on occasion playing a board game.”

“Board game?”

“Yeah, strip scrabble.”

“Now that sounds like a lot of fun.”

“It is. Maybe we can play it some time.”

“I’d have to buy a scrabble board.”

“Consider it done. I’ll bring it next time I get another dinner invitation,” he winked.

Alexandra stood. “I’m going to grab myself a cup of coffee. Would you like one?”

“I’d love one. It’s down time.”

Alexandra poured their coffee and returned to the living room. “Down time. Hm. What do you consider down time?” she asked hoping that his definition of down time was the same as hers. Sitting, relaxing, holding hands and possibly another kiss like the one he had given her earlier.

Billy slapped the pillow on the couch next to him. “Come sit down and I will show you how I plan on making you feel so relaxed that you’ll be floating on water.”

Now that’s an interesting comparison. Alexandra wondered what he had in store for her. She had no problem with making out like a teenage and maybe getting a little touchy feely kind of thing going. Her finger dropped to her thigh and she pinched herself. These were thoughts that shouldn’t even be entering her mind.

Sitting back on the couch, she tried not too sit to close to him. No way would she show any kind of vulnerability or give in to the passion she felt.

“While you were getting the coffee I wondered if you’d like to maybe go to a hockey game since the baseball season is over. What do you think?”

“I’d love to.”

“Are you into Broadway plays?”

“Honesty, no. I’d rather be at a sporting event where I can yell, jump up and down and dress in a pair of jeans and t-shirt.”

“Thank God,” he whistled shaking his head in agreement. “Finally a woman that loves sports. Now it’s time to show you a little appreciation for such a hearty meal. But first I need the remote control.”

Alexandra handed him the remote control, he pressed three numbers and the Ranger game, already in the second quarter went on. Their eyes met and they both smirked.
Billy leaned over and lifted her feet onto his lap and slid off her three inch heels.
“Time to relax and enjoy the game. Look,” Billy pointed at the television, “the Rangers are up by three goals.” Wrapping his hands around her left foot he massaged each toe before moving onto the right foot.

A chill ran through Alexandra. She didn’t know if it were because she felt so relaxed or because she feared the unknown, since it had been a long time since she had been intimate with anyone.

“How does that feel?” Billy squeezed both her feet. “Should I keep on going?”

“How about we have our coffee?”

“Scared?” Billy slid his finger under her chin and turned her head to face him.

“No, I’m not scared. Just cautious.”

“Understandable. Before I forget to ask, I got invited to a party next weekend and would like for you to come as my guest.”

“I’d love to,” Alexandra said nodding her head in agreement.

“Great.” Billy chuckled. “Just a heads up. It’s a Halloween party and costumes aren’t optional. They’re a must.”

“Are you…”

Billy didn’t give her a chance to continue. He kissed her before taking her into his arms as they watched the rest of the hockey game.

Tuesday Tales

“I can dance like this all night long,” Alexandra whispered, her cheek resting against his. “I can’t believe that it’s already after nine. The night just flew by.”

“That’s where you’re wrong. The night is still young.” He hugged her snugly and kissed the top of her head. “We have so much to talk about.”

“Would you like me to put up a pot of coffee?”

“That would be great. Come on,” he said releasing her, “let’s go in the kitchen and I’ll help you.”

“You’re spoiling me.”

“That’s what I’m here for.”

Alexandra put up the coffee, while Billy took the homemade apple pie off the stove and placed it on the dining room table. Her eyes followed him and she tried her best not to be caught staring at him, but she couldn’t help it. Billy had short brown hair and hazel eyes along with a muscular upper body. She couldn’t wait to get the opportunity to squeeze his killer butt.

After setting the table in the dining room, Alexandra leaned against the doorway and watched as Billy walked around the room looking at the photographs on the sofa table.

“Do you remember New Year’s Eve 1975?”

“Are you kidding me? I can’t remember what I did yesterday, let alone remember what I did over thirty something years ago.”

“Oh yeah, I remember distinctively what happened that night.”

“Please enlighten me.”

Lifting a picture up, Billy turned, pointed at it and asked, “How do you know Maggie and Wendy?”

“Maggie is my mom and Wendy was her best friend.”

His eyes brows flew up. “Wendy is my mother.”

“Are you kidding me? That means that we knew each other when we were kids.”

“It also means that at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve in 1975, you were my first kiss.”

“Oh no way. I would have remembered… Oh! Now I remember. You were the skinny boy with a worn leather belt keeping your pants up.”

“Yep that was me. I’ve come a long way since then.”

“So I see. This is an amazing discovery that after all these years we meet up again and get a second chance at sharing a kiss.”

“Yes it is. I will never forget that kiss. You were kind and gentle. I knew that you didn’t like me. You had your eyes on your brother’s friend. You didn’t take your eyes off him all night. Yet, when I repeatedly came over to talk to you, you spoke to me and let me kiss you. I played that kiss over and over in my mind for weeks.”

“I don’t remember why we were at that same New Year’s Eve party together.”

“Our father’s worked together down at the docks. That year we were invited to their bosses’ house.”

“I remember that I didn’t want to go. I wanted to go to my friend’s house, but my parent’s insisted that we go as a family.”

“We were so young back then. I wonder why we never seen each other after that?”

“My father got a promotion and didn’t work the docks anymore. Than a year or two afterwards, he left that job and got his dream job as a journalist. Once he got himself established, he left me and my mom.”

“I had the opposite. My mom left my father for an older man with money.”

They both laughed.

“I learned from their mistakes,” Alexandra said.

“We can’t compare ourselves to our parents. And discovering that we both had a past together many years ago is amazing.”

“You left a mark on my heart. There was something special about that kiss. Even though it lasted only a few seconds, it still had an effect on me that I carried throughout my life.”

“I find that hard to believe.”

“Hey, call me a romantic.“

“Seriously, do you think I believe that?”

“I wish you would. When our lips met earlier, I got the same feeling you did that very night.”

Alexandra touched his arm and wish she could remember their first kiss. Now the kiss they shared earlier…was one that she wouldn’t forget. She vaguely remembered that New Year’s Eve. But tonight, she wouldn’t forget. She too felt the electricity that Billy felt. A feeling that she hoped he shared.

“You felt something?”

“Did you?”

“I asked first.”

“And I asked second,” Alexandra blushed.

“Okay, yes I felt something.”

“Me too.”

Billy put his arms around her shoulder and sat sideways on the couch.

“How about we try that kiss again?”

“I thought you’d never ask.”

Tuesday Tales

Welcome to Tuesday tales. I'm going to continue with my characters Alexandra and Billy. I'm going back in time to the beginning of their relationship. Hope you enjoy the short.

Black Lace Panty

Inviting Billy to her home for the first time for dinner scared Alexandra to death. How could she have been so stupid to invite Billy over without thinking? The musical note clock on the kitchen wall read twelve forty-five, leaving her a little over six hours to prepare dinner, straighten and clean the whole house. To add to everything, she had to wash a bundle of clothes. Hiding them in the shower was out of the question. The mirrored shower doors would still expose the over flowing basket.

Alexandra opened both the freezer and refrigerator doors and stood staring at the overstuffed shelves. What could she make that wouldn’t take up a great deal of time, but yet make an exquisite meal. She wanted to prepare a meal that would impress him. Or was it the sweet desert that matter more?

By the time she folded her last pair of panties the timer on the stove went off, the lasagna was done. That gave her less than an hour to get dressed and set the dining room table with her grandmother’s fine china. Tonight had to be perfect down to the ivory lace linen tablecloth. Returning to the kitchen she stirred the gravy with the meatballs and sausage, and lit the long white pillar candles on the dining room table. She dimmed the lights with fifteen minutes to spare, or thought she did until the doorbell rang seconds later.

Her heart palpitated as she opened the door. “Hi. You’re early.”

“Always.” He kissed her lips, handed her a bottle of wine and walked into the house. “Mmm. It seems delicious in here. I hope you didn’t go crazy.”

“Not at all. I threw the meal together in no time.” She bit her tongue. It didn’t hurt to tell a little white lie. No way would she admit how much work she put into preparing dinner.

“Good. I have something else for you.”

In his other hand hidden behind his back he revealed a bouquet of red roses. “For you.”

“Thank you. It will make the perfect center piece.”

“Let me help you. I’ll open the bottle of wine while you get the vase.”

“Works for me.”

Her nerves had dissipated and she felt relaxed. Billy always had a smile of his face, which brought out his dimples even more. Sometimes she found it hard to resist running her fingers along his cheeks. She wasn’t comfortable enough with him to be initiate making love, but as soon as he touched her, making that first move, she was there.

Billy walked into the kitchen and handed her a wine glass. “Time for you to sit down and enjoy the evening.” Pointing to the stove, “I know you worked really hard to make everything just right.”

“I will as soon as I get dinner on the table."

“Tell me what needs to be done.”

“I got it. Please sit down and relax.”
Ignoring her, he took the sliced bread off the counter and tripped over a white kitten. “Hey sorry,” he said looking at the kitten sitting at his feet.

“Don’t mind Snowflake. She loves company. She’ll be sitting on your lap by the end of the night.”

“Really?”

“You’re not allergic are you?”

“Not at all.”

“Would you be so kind to give me a hand and help me bring dinner into the dining room.”

“Need you ask.” He walked over to the counter and before lifting the lasagna tray off the counter he brushed a kiss across her forehead. “How about you turn on the music,” he pointed with his chin at the stereo.

“Anything in particular.”

“How about Lite FM. This way we hear the best of all genres.”

“I’d like that.”

Before sitting down, Alexandra turned the radio on and lit the candles. The crystal candlestick holders had belonged to her grandmother who received them as a wedding present over sixty years ago. Tonight was the perfect time to pull them out.

“I am impressed with everything. The lasagna is great and the meatballs as good as my mom’s.”

“Wow. That’s an awesome compliment.”

“It’s the truth. And might I add, I can see all the hard work you put into this being the perfect night.”

Her lips slightly parted and the laugh lines around her eyes became more pronounced. “I tried my best.”

Billy reached over and rested his hand on top of hers and squeezed it. “I bet you do this for all your dinner dates.”

“Caught me. Now my secret is out.”

Leaning over he softly kissed her lips. The kiss made her yearn even more for the warmth of his arms around her waist. Maybe tonight would be the night she would open the door to her heart and let him in.

“May I have this dance?” He stood up and extended his hand out to her.

Alexandra took his hand and danced into his arms. The warmth of his hands penetrated through her navy blue blouse setting her heart on fire. She’d let him lead the way.

By the end of the song, their bodies were crushed together, but not for long. When the pace of the music picked up Billy led her to the couch.
“I thought we’d sit down for a bit, finish our wine and wait for the next romantic song to be played.”

“That sounds great.”

Billy took their wine glasses and placed them down on the cocktail table. He sat down next to her and put his arm around her shoulder. As he leaned over to kiss her a loud thumping sound came from over their heads.

“What was that?”

“Just the kitten. She must have fallen…”

Before she could finish, Snowflake jumped onto the cocktail table with Alexandra’s black lace panty hanging from her mouth.

“Oh dear,” Alexandra blushed.

Conveniently, Snowflake dropped the panty on the table right in front of Billy. Lifting it he said, “You can’t make this stuff up. Funny how Snowflake read my mind.”

“Yes it is.”

Billy stood and reached his hand out to Alexandra. “I want to dance the night away with you.” He pulled Alexandra into his arms and kissed her lips.

“I’d really like that too.”
