I love the Spring.  After going through one of the roughest winters in years, it's a release to see the buds on the trees, and the flowers starting to bloom.  Most of my new projects are brainstormed during the spring months.  Spring to me is the resurrection of myself after a trying winter, especially this winter that kept me in the house.  What I love most about the Spring is Baseball Season.  I am a huge fan, especially the New York Mets.  As a teenager, I spent most of my free time with my best friend, Liz at Shea stadium. There's just something about the smell of freshly mowed grass with ...

Tuesday Tales – Train

Welcome to this week's edition of Tuesday Tales to the word prompt train.  Pia is trying her best to speak to Lorenzo, tell him the truth about her best friends betrayal, and tell him how much she loves him.   Pia held her cell phone in her hand waiting for it to ring.   She had called Lorenzo two hours ago, and then twenty minutes later.   The last call she knew he rejected.   That was the call she left a detailed message explaining what had happened.   When he didn’t call her right back, tears gushed down her cheeks.   She had to go to him.   Glancing at her watch, if she left right now, she would make it to the ballpark before the game began. Turning the key in the ign...

Tuesday Tales – Picture Prompt

Welcome to this week's Tuesday's Tales.  This week, Pia is thinking back to when Larry and she had regular business meeting four years prior. Pia sat on the cushioned window seat staring out into the valley.   Larry had been asking her for months to join him on a weekend getaway in his house upstate New York.    Finally, she gave in and insisted they use the weekend to outline the expansion of their small closet size office into a free standing building on Hylan Boulevard.   While Larry walked across the yard in the snow to replenish the wood for the fireplace, Pia watched, second-guessing her decision to join him. She had met Larry in a business class in college.   They started talking and hit it off when they realized they both wanted to start a real estate business.   After his persuasion, she decided to join forces with him.   She had the business sense and Larry had the collateral to get the business up and ru...

Tuesday Tales – Gift

-->  Welcome to this weeks edition of Tuesday Tales. I hope everyone had a happy holiday season.  Now, it's a New Year and so are the twists and turns in my tale.  Last time we left off with Larry giving Pia something to think about.  A secret that has been buried away for a very long time.  Sit back, grab a cup of coffee, latte, tea or a cocktail and enjoy.                                              The whole drive home, Pia’s mind raced in all different directions.   Twice she had to pull over to blow her nose and wipe her tears.   This had to all be a dream.   She didn’t believe it four years ago and she didn’t believe it now.   That’s why she never took the time to check into his allegations.   She...

Tuesday Tales – Cool

Welcome to this weeks Tuesday tales.  This week's word prompt is cool.                                              For a late summer night, the air was cool.   This was the time of year Pia hated most, when the temperature plummeted at night.   But somehow tonight the cool air didn’t seem to bother her.   They walked along the bridge holding hands, walking straight down the center of the path.   Whenever Lorenzo would try to lead her over to the side, she would gently tug on his hand pulling him back.   She didn’t want to tell him how much she feared the ocean.   How as a kid the undertow pulled her under water by the ocean’s edge. How that fear never left her and still haunts her every time she’s near water.   Bu...
