Indulgent Blog Hop

Welcome to the Guilty Indulgence Blog Hop. Thank you for stopping by and for your support. Everyone has a guilty indulgence and this is the place to share that. I'm going to expose to my readers my true indulgence. I try my best to control myself, but when I pass a lingerie store I get out of control. In my novel The Boardwalk, Brooklyn DeMelli has the same obsession. She loves lingerie. Not your usual silk nighty, but the lace, garter belt, thigh highs and black stilettos kind of outfit. She visits her friend Linda at Linda Lingerie Boutique. who owns Linda Lingerie Boutique, which houses some of the most sexiest outfits in all of Staten Island, New York. Since Brooklyn hadn't been in a relationship or had particular man in in her life, she stopped buying lingerie. The fun part about wearing lingerie is to model it in front of the man you love. She had lost her interest in lingerie, but now, she wants to buy something special just in the event, they took their dating ...

Tuesday Tales - Money

Welcome to Tuesday Tales. This week the word prompt is money. Please take a few minutes to check out the other awesome TUESDAY TALES . Alexandra fumbled with her key. The street light in front of the café blew out and the bulb in the old fashioned pole in front of the café was also off. She had expected Billy to there already. But that was Billy, always full of surprises. Reached for the light switch and flicked the switch on, except that the lights didn’t go on. Strange. Right before she got shot, they had sat down going through their finances. Between the two of them they were able to pay the bills and still have money left over to put away for a rainy day. “Billy,” she called out, figuring she was standing somewhere in the middle of the room. “Come on. Turn on the lights. Stop keeping me in suspense. I want to see everything you have done with the place.” Alexandra heard the sound of sneakers walking across the room. She’d bet when Billy turned the lights on the whole ...

4th of July Hop Page

Welcome to the July 4th Bloghop. On July 4th America celebrates it's birthday. As part of the celebration, stop by the 4TH OF JULY HOP PAGE where there's an awesome group of authors giving away hundreds of prizes. I will be giving away a copy of my debut novel Roses, a key chain and a plaque. (Pictured below.) All you have to do is leave a comment below and your email address. Good luck. There will be three winners! It’s that time of the year again. Summer is officially here and no one wants to sit in the house behind the computer writing. You know just as well as me that we will find one excuse after the other not to sit down and write…especially do revisions. Keeping this in mind, I came up with a writer’s summer survival tote. Pack your tote and keep it besides your pocketbook. Your tote should consist of the following: Notebook 2 Pens (This way there is no excuse that the pen ran out of ink.) A red pen and a yellow highlighter A white legal pad A box of ideas Post it...

Tuesday Tales - Love

Billy and Alexandra remained in each other’s arms under his black satin sheets. The smell of their lovemaking remained evident in the room, along with the smell of the meal Billy had cooked and they had yet to eat. Alexandra wanted to lay there all night with him. The warmth of Billy’s body felt good against hers. But the sound of Billy’s stomach growling caused him to stir. Kissing the top of her head he said, “I’m starving.” “I must admit, me too. I hope dinner isn’t ruined.” “Not at all.” Billy slid out of bed and put on his jeans. “I’ll be in the kitchen warming everything up. Take your time.” Alexandra freshened up. The only thing that she hadn’t taken with her was her black eyeliner. Most of her makeup had been wiped away during their lovemaking. For tonight, the natural look would be in. This time, she paid attention to the small details, which made the night so special. Earlier, she hadn’t noticed the centerpiece of fresh flowers and the cloth tablecloth and napkins ...

Tuesday Tales – Save

Billy turned off the oven and plopped into his brown overstuffed chair across from the television. He rested his black designer sneakers along the side of his oak cocktail table. Today he made the biggest decision of his life. Thank God, Alexandra gave him a chance to explain. He hadn’t planned on exposing the trouble he had gotten himself into over the years. It was a thing of the past, and that’s where he wanted to keep it. But when Ralphie came knocking on his door, his past had come back to haunt him, once again. With all the banks in New York City, it would figure he picked the one that Ralphie’s daughter worked at. This time, she was married. He remembered when he first borrowed the money, Ralphie wanted him to take out his daughter. If he had done that, Ralphie would have seen it as an investment into his daughter’s future. The trouble was, Billy never liked her. He could never forget Alexandra. She was his first and only love. How many times was he going to pay ...

Tuesday Tales - Pleasure

“Today is your day.” Billy turned the radio on in the car and rested his hand on her lap. “Are you going to tell me where you are taking me?” “No way. It is going to be a total surprise.” “Just like the Halloween party.” He changed lanes and got onto the West Shore Expressway. “Ha. Even better.” “I don’t know if I like your surprises.” “Have I let you down yet?” Alexandra thought for a moment and smiled. Since Billy came into her life, her once dull life had turned into an adventure. When he said they were going out for a day of fun, he meant it. The Halloween party had been an awesome experience. Through the years, she had disliked Halloween more and more. It had gotten to the point that she didn’t even open her door, instead she left the candy outside in a dish for the kids to take. Now she let him talk her into another escapade. She hated to admit it, but she looked forward to these journeys. They always brought her closer to Billy by the end of the day. “Come t...
