Black Friday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Black Friday Blog Hop. I am not a Black Friday Shopper.  You ask why?  Because I was on the other side of the door. I worked at Toys R Us for five years.  And I worked every Black Friday.  I would spend Thanksgiving with my family, and then rush home to try to get a few hours sleep before going to work at 3:30 AM in the morning. I'd get to work and fight with the crowds to get through the exit door into the store.  By 4:00 AM the customers are crushed against the front door, some their noses against the glass.  Electronics and the hottest dolls are on the top of everyone's list.  Despite the complete mayhem, I must admit it was one of favorite days of the year to work, along with Christmas Eve. In my eyes, the main theme of all the Black Friday mayhem is love, getting the best deals to make our family, friends and love ones happy. Tuesday Tales – Thanksgiving Picture Prompt

--> This week, I decided to put my story on hold to reflect on the things I am thankful for.  Staten Island is in a state of devastation and luckily I made it through the storm with minor damage.  My thoughts and prayers are with all the victims on the East Coast.  I'd also like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving full of love, hope and health.                                Everyone sat around the beautifully decorated table, dressed with their family heirloom dishes and knick-knacks to celebrate Thanksgiving.   This year, however, would be much different.   I have a lot to be thankful for, you know the little things we all take for granted. 1.      My Home: When I get up in the morning, I wake up to a warm house and the scent of dinner cooked from the night before.
