After the untimely death of her husband in the line of duty, Nikki Petrino still grieving three years later, goes on retreat to Mexico to finish her novel, where she meets musician Drake Dente a 90’s rock icon working on lyrics for his comeback CD.

After meeting at dinner, Drake and Nikki can’t keep their eyes off each other. Sparks fly and they instantly became an item. Upon returning to New York for Nikki’s high school reunion, she learns shocking events from her best friends.

After a misunderstanding, Nikki is missing and Drake is desperate to track her down.

Black Friday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Black Friday Blog Hop. I am not a Black Friday Shopper. You ask why? Because I was on the other side of the door. I worked at Toys R Us for five years. And I worked every Black Friday. I would spend Thanksgiving with my family, and then rush home to try to get a few hours sleep before going to work at 3:30 AM in the morning. I'd get to work and fight with the crowds to get through the exit door into the store. By 4:00 AM the customers are crushed against the front door, some their noses against the glass. Electronics and the hottest dolls are on the top of everyone's list. Despite the complete mayhem, I must admit it was one of favorite days of the year to work, along with Christmas Eve. In my eyes, the main theme of all the Black Friday mayhem is love, getting the best deals to make our family, friends and love ones happy. Christmas is about family, tradition and memories. Through the years I've kept up with my grandmother's tradition of making Christmas cookies, which I might add I love doing and sharing. This past year, after being a single parent for 17 years, I met the love of my life and got married three months later. Now we are making our own traditions and box full of memories. For the first time in over ten years, I have taken out Christmas decoration, which were packed away with no future to be seen again, expect for being passed on to my kids. But not this year. My husband John and I combined our Christmas decorations, decorated all three floors of our townhouse transporting our home into a winter wonderland. My four foot tree is fully decorated in the den and his eight foot tree is in my living room with a collaboration of both our ornaments making for the perfect tree.
