SCP 5 Favorite Things Blog Event

It's amazing at how fast this year has flown by. Nothing is like the feeling of unwrapping a present or reading a good book.  Whether you prefer holding a paperback in your hand or cuddling your kindle or nook, it's a wonderful feeling sitting on my bed at night with two of my cats at my feet.

Since becoming an author at Secret Cravings Publishing, I have read books that are absolute page turners, making new friends and finding new favorite authors.

Now, I'd like to share with you my 5 Favorite Things

1. Walking on the Boardwalk

2. Taking Pictures

3. Baking Cakes and Cookies

4.  Listening to Music

5.  My favorite Secret Cravings is Roses

I'm giving  away a copy of Roses.  To be eligible, please leave a comment telling me what you favorite things are along  your email address so I can contact you.

Roses

The sudden death of her husband sends Nikki Petrino into a tailspin. Three years later, she's still grieving. Mexico seems the perfect retreat to finish her novel.   Musician Drake Dente needs to get back on track and an excursion to Mexico to work on lyrics for his comeback CD is just what he needs.   Can two ships passing in the night bound for Mexico become the love they both need and want? Attraction sizzles and misunderstandings threaten. When Nikki goes missing can Drake find her before it's too late?

  1. Nice post, Karen! I'd have to agree that curling up with a good book, whether on my Nook or in paperback, is tops on my favorites. At this time of year, I enjoy a hot cocoa with mini marshmallows or a hot toddy while reading. Cuddling is good too. So, is a snuggly comforter. Hope your holidays are happy!

Black Friday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Black Friday Blog Hop. I am not a Black Friday Shopper.  You ask why?  Because I was on the other side of the door. I worked at Toys R Us for five years.  And I worked every Black Friday.  I would spend Thanksgiving with my family, and then rush home to try to get a few hours sleep before going to work at 3:30 AM in the morning. I'd get to work and fight with the crowds to get through the exit door into the store.  By 4:00 AM the customers are crushed against the front door, some their noses against the glass.  Electronics and the hottest dolls are on the top of everyone's list.  Despite the complete mayhem, I must admit it was one of favorite days of the year to work, along with Christmas Eve. In my eyes, the main theme of all the Black Friday mayhem is love, getting the best deals to make our family, friends and love ones happy. Now you want to talk about love, I am giving away a copy your choice Roses or The Boardwalk . ...

Wounded Warriors Project Blog Hop

Christmas is about family, tradition and memories.  Through the years I've kept up with my grandmother's tradition of making Christmas cookies, which I might add I love doing and sharing. This past year, after being a single parent for 17 years, I met the love of my life and got married three months later.  Now we are making our own traditions and box full of memories. For the first time in over ten years, I have taken out Christmas decoration, which were packed away with no future to be seen again, expect for being passed on to my kids. But not this year.  My husband John and I combined our Christmas decorations, decorated all three floors of our townhouse transporting our home into a winter wonderland. My four foot tree is fully decorated in the den and his eight foot tree is in my living room with a collaboration of both our ornaments making for the perfect tree. We bought new ornament and decoration to make our new memories to go with our new life to...
