Pia stood on her porch, with her arms folded watching Lorenzo’s convertible pull down the street.  When his car was totally out of sight, she walked back inside.  For the first time in two weeks her house was silent.  Most of the time she spent running around cleaning, organizing and figuring out how to handle this unbelievably flawless relationship she had going with Lorenzo.

The past two weeks had been like heaven.  Lorenzo turned out to be a loving, compassionate man, despite the rumors he had been a ladies man.  But who was she to judge.

Pia had some big time problems to deal with.  Opening the top drawer of her mahogany breakfront, she pulled out the picture frame of Larry and her, the picture of them on his boat down in the Virgin Islands, three years prior.   The only reason why she stayed in this dysfunctional relationship was because they were business partners.

She would have to tell him, and he shouldn’t be surprised.   They never spent any time together unless they were in the office, which was hardly ever.  Over the course of the past few months, she started doing most of her work from home.  Deep down she knew she had to approached this head on.  She had to make the break.  They hadn’t had sex in over a year, nor did she feel any attraction to him at all.

With Lorenzo being on the road for two weeks this would be the perfect opportunity to tell him.  Pia had gotten involved with Larry six years ago when they went into business together.  Larry had put up three quarters of the money for the business.  She put up the other quarter and went for her real estate license.  One thing was for certain, she couldn’t continue any kind of relationship with Lorenzo while technically being involved with Larry.  Her relationship of convenience with Larry had to come to an end, now.

Black Friday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Black Friday Blog Hop. I am not a Black Friday Shopper.  You ask why?  Because I was on the other side of the door. I worked at Toys R Us for five years.  And I worked every Black Friday.  I would spend Thanksgiving with my family, and then rush home to try to get a few hours sleep before going to work at 3:30 AM in the morning. I'd get to work and fight with the crowds to get through the exit door into the store.  By 4:00 AM the customers are crushed against the front door, some their noses against the glass.  Electronics and the hottest dolls are on the top of everyone's list.  Despite the complete mayhem, I must admit it was one of favorite days of the year to work, along with Christmas Eve. In my eyes, the main theme of all the Black Friday mayhem is love, getting the best deals to make our family, friends and love ones happy. Now you want to talk about love, I am giving away a copy your choice Roses or The Boardwalk . ...

Wounded Warriors Project Blog Hop

Christmas is about family, tradition and memories.  Through the years I've kept up with my grandmother's tradition of making Christmas cookies, which I might add I love doing and sharing. This past year, after being a single parent for 17 years, I met the love of my life and got married three months later.  Now we are making our own traditions and box full of memories. For the first time in over ten years, I have taken out Christmas decoration, which were packed away with no future to be seen again, expect for being passed on to my kids. But not this year.  My husband John and I combined our Christmas decorations, decorated all three floors of our townhouse transporting our home into a winter wonderland. My four foot tree is fully decorated in the den and his eight foot tree is in my living room with a collaboration of both our ornaments making for the perfect tree. We bought new ornament and decoration to make our new memories to go with our new life to...
