Welcome to the Swept Away Valentines Day Blog Hop.  The hop runts from Thursday, Februar 14th through Sunday February 17th.  I wanted to share one of my love poems.



Valentine’s Day




No words can describe how I feel inside.
Since I met you time has stood still,
and my life has been full of sunshine.

I always knew there was a pot of gold

on the other side of the rainbow

and that is you.

You have been my inspiration,

encouraging me to achieve my goals,

showing me that you care.

Through my eyes I see a loving and caring man,
one that is perfect.

You are a rare jewel that was sent to me by an angel.
I thank the heavens above for showing me the light,
by bringing you into my life.

I will be giving a way you a copy of Roses and my book of poems, Reflections.  I'm also giving away a heart necklace and keychain.  To be eligible tell me what your favorite Valentine's Day treat is.
My favorite Valentine's Day treat is I love dark chocolate kisses and passionate kisses.

    I love your poem. As secretary of my local RWA chapter, we just judged love letters for our local newspaper for Valentine's Day, and several were poems. Favorite valentine treat-- those little candy hearts with sayings from my Snickerdoodles.

Welcome to the Black Friday Blog Hop. I am not a Black Friday Shopper.  You ask why?  Because I was on the other side of the door. I worked at Toys R Us for five years.  And I worked every Black Friday.  I would spend Thanksgiving with my family, and then rush home to try to get a few hours sleep before going to work at 3:30 AM in the morning. Wounded Warriors Project Blog Hop

Christmas is about family, tradition and memories.  Through the years I've kept up with my grandmother's tradition of making Christmas cookies, which I might add I love doing and sharing. This past year, after being a single parent for 17 years, I met the love of my life and got married three months later.  Now we are making our own traditions and box full of memories. For the first time in over ten years, I have taken out Christmas decoration, which were packed away with no future to be seen again, expect for being passed on to my kids. But not this year.  My husband John and I combined our Christmas decorations, decorated all three floors of our townhouse transporting our home into a winter wonderland. My four foot tree is fully decorated in the den and his eight foot tree is in my living room with a collaboration of both our ornaments making for the perfect tree.
